Alerts are useful for displaying a notification message when a package is received.

Alerts are active on both the website and on the hand-held. The website has the additional option to print the alerts.

To create a new alert, enter the details for the alert and press '''add alert'''. You can modify any alerts in the list of defined alerts by pressing the edit icon next to the alert to be edited.

Note: Take care when defining the criteria for your alert. All supplied criteria must be matched with the details from the package before an alert will be displayed. So for instance, if an alert has been defined for a FedEx package for Joe Smith from Amazon, then the Alert will only appear under those exact circumstances. Other packages received for Joe Smith will not trigger the alert.

Alerts can also be defined to re-assign the package to another recipient. This is useful in cases where a recipient or employee will be out of town for a few days and another colleague will look after any packages in their absence. A re-assign can be defined so that any packages received up until a specific date will be automatically reassigned to the other recipient.

Once a package has been registered into the system, it can be delivered.
Unlike receiving (which can only happen once until a package has been delivered) it is possible to deliver a package as many times as required and build a history of deliveries. (Note: Multiple deliveries is enabled via a system setting and is not always available)

Deliveries can be handled in several ways:

* Using a hand-held device running SQBX hand-held client
* Using a hand-held device connected to the SQBX Web Application
* At a delivery location terminal using the SQBX Web Application

In each case, the delivery process is the same.
* Choose the Deliver option
* Get the recipient to where a signature can be capture and have them sign, or by selecting a no-signature reason.
* Mark the package as delivered by accepting the details.

This marks the package as delivered. It may be re-delivered if it is taken to another location, there is no need to re-receive the package as it has not left the organization. Just scan the on the package and re-deliver.

The purpose of this screen is to allow the user to rapidly scan a large amount of packages without the need to fill in details.

When first opening this screen, it should be ready to start scanning packages. It will list each tracking number which will give you a count of packages you have scanned. When done scanning all bar codes, simply navigate away from the page, and all bar codes scanned will save in the system. When recalling them in the system, they will have recipient name called '''verify'''. Any details can be updated if need be by modifying the package details.

This is equivalent to using the multi-receive on the hand-helds and selecting the '''verify''' option at the top of that menu.
