How to set up an RSS feed

RSS feeds are a great way to publish your corporate news on your WTS dashboard.

To create you company RSS feed go into admin and under the Advanced heading there is a link called RSS feed management.

Once you have clicked on this you will see a page with two boxes for you to enter the RSS feed URL and the news site URL.

Once you have added the RSS details a new Widget will be available to drag onto the dashboard.

Enter the URL for your company's own RSS Feed and News site. This will make your own News Widget available on the Dashboard.

Then if you click on more on the news Widget your browser will open in a new window containing your websites latest news page.

It may open in a new tab. This will make no difference to the results.

You will need to make sure that both URLs are pointing to the correct sites.

If you don't you will get the news feed for your site but if you click on more then you will be redirected to a totally different site.

If you are experiencing any issue with our software, hand-held device, a functionality with the system, or have any other questions, you can always contact us through our support system. The support button on the tool bar will direct you to a page where you can confirm your name for one of our representatives, a phone number, a brief description of what assistance you may need, and the severity of the issue. After you complete information that you wish to provide, you will be asked to download and install a file. This file is a program called Rescue that we use to establish a link to our support representative.

This software gives us many benefits such as:
*Viewing your PC or hand-held device to see the exact issue in real time.
*Taking control of the PC or hand-held device to give you hands on training in functionality.
*Transfer of files to and from the PC or hand-held device.

Whether the issue is too complicated to be explained over the chat system, or you would rather talk to the representative, you may request that we call you. If we think the issue is too complicated to explain, we may request to call you as well. Here at Neopost USA, we strive to give you the best support possible.

Delivering Packages

Once a package has been registered into the system, it can be delivered.
Unlike receiving (which can only happen once until a package has been delivered) it is possible to deliver a package as many times as required and build a history of deliveries. (Note: Multiple deliveries is enabled via a system setting and is not always available)

Deliveries can be handled in several ways:

* Using a hand-held device running WTS hand-held client
* Using a hand-held device connected to the WTS Web Application
* At a delivery location terminal using the WTS Web Application

In each case, the delivery process is the same.
* Choose the Deliver option
* Get the recipient to where a signature can be capture and have them sign, or by selecting a no-signature reason.
* Mark the package as delivered by accepting the details.

This marks the package as delivered. It may be re-delivered if it is taken to another location, there is no need to re-receive the package as it has not left the organization. Just scan the on the package and re-deliver.

Multi Receipt Page

This option allows you to scan in all your packages and give you a count of how many are there all on one screen. This is commonly used to receive multiple packages rapidly without filling in the details.

On the WTS website, the only requirement is to fill in the recipient. After typing or selecting the recipient, click the '''set recipient'''. Afterwards just start scanning and a list will start to form. You can select the '''group deliver''' to automatically deliver all (or some) of the packages, or change the status of the package. If you prefer to do nothing with the packages, simply continue to another page. The packages automatically save in the system.

On the hand-held, you access this option through the receive option and then multi-receive. Here you are required to fill in both the recipient and the location. When you are ready to scan, click the tab on the bottom of the screen that says '''scan'''. If you prefer not to fill in the details, you can select the '''verify''' option at the top. Once on the scan screen, start scanning packages and hit '''OK''' to save.

Receiving Page

This screen is used to receive packages into WTS. These fields are fully customizable and might not appear the same in every system. Some can be removed and all can be renamed. This is done thru the tool-bar-->admin-->customize field names menu and it is best to consult with that menu to compare with this list. It will show you if an option has been disabled or changed. Here is a basic breakdown of each field on their default, unchanged values. Some fields have a feature called '''SAYT''' which means each '''Search As You Type'''.

* '''Tracking Number''' - The shipping Tracking number. This is a required field.

There are also radio buttons to the left of each field (the circles). These can be selected if you wish to hold the data when receiving multiple packages. Simply click each radio button next to the data you wish to keep and when you receive or deliver the package, the next time you return to the receive package screen, your data will be there.

Next to the tracking number is also a radio button but when clicked, will recall any data from the previous receive screen. The data you wish to recall is selected with the same radio buttons next to the fields below the tracking number button.

The Dashboard

The WTS Dashboard is a tool that allows the user to customize readily accessible informational displays equivalent to a “dashboard” on a car.

The Dashboard customization is saved according to the user who sets it up, so each individual user can customize according to their needs without affecting other user's Dashboards. This gives WTS a personal Dashboard layout for each user.

The Dashboard consists of [[Widgets|WTS Widgets]]. It is separated into two sections, the active widgets and the available inactive widgets, otherwise known as the toolbox.

To change the widgets you're currently viewing on your dashboard, you just need to simply drag the widget to the dashboard. To add a widget, drag it from the toolbox which is on the right side of the screen, onto the dashboard which is the center of the screen. To remove a widget, drag it from the dashboard back to the toolbox.

There are many widgets to choose from, although, not all widgets are available to all users. If you can think of a widget you would like to see, please feel free to contact us.

Log Out

Clicking on this icon will log you out of your account with WTS. This should be a required step to use when you are not using the WTS website or the hand-held. This will prevent other users from receiving or delivering packages under your account, or makes changes at an administration level if the current logged in account has administration privileges.

It is also recommended that you disable your web browsers ability to remember password history for your WTS website.
